The Army have retained the inter services boxing title for the 34th year at RM CTC Lympstone, but by the narrowest of margins.

In one of the best inter services competitions in 20 years, the Navy at one stage led the eight-bout card 4-2 and one more victory would have been enough to give them the title .

But a knock out punch from The Army's Johnny Marvin over Bobby Foreman of the Royal Marines in the Cruiserweight bout, followed by a narrow win at Heavyweight for Natty Ngwenya over Nathan Levers levelled things at 4-4.

With Chez Nihell's walkover at Superheavyweight it was enough to give the Army victory again .
