Former Westlife singer, Markus Feehily, talks to Jason Webster about being in a world-famous boy band and his new direction.
“When you meet someone who has had such a huge career in the music industry you never know what they're going to be like, but I've never met such a down to earth person,” said Jason.
“He was in one the biggest boy bands on the planet and still has the natural singing talent to have an illustrious future as a solo artist.”
Markus performs a live session in the Forces Radio BFBS studios – including 'Butterfly' his first solo single – and explains that some tracks on his debut album are about the “tougher” side of relationships.
He discusses pep talks from Louis Walsh, being co-managed by Ronan Keating, his stint at festivals with his mobile food van, and selects music that has influenced his life.
Jason even gets a lesson in the art of delivering a key change while stepping off a bar stool – all choreographed to hit record 'You Raise Me Up'.
