Defence Secretary Sir Michael Fallon has spent the day in Estonia for the official start of Britain's NATO deployment to the region.

He's been meeting the Estonian President just weeks after 800 soldiers from 5th Battalion The Rifles and vast amounts of equipment arrived there. 

They've joined troops from France and Denmark, in response to the threat from a resurgent Russia.

NATO's Deputy Supreme Allied Commander Europe, meanwhile, has told Forces News that the deployment is pitched at the right level and designed not to provoke but to deter Russia.

Grace Pascoe asked General Sir James Everard whether he was proud of Britain's lead role in Estonia.
