The Queen Celebrates Her 91st Birthday
Royal salutes will be fired in London and across the UK to celebrate the Queen's 91st Birthday.
The salute will be fired by the King's Troop Royal Horse Artillery and the Honourable Artillery Company to honour Britain's longest-reigning monarch.
Her Majesty is expected to spend the anniversary privately at Windsor Castle.
Paris Gunman Known By French Authorities
The French authorities say they know the identity of the man who shot dead a policeman and wounded two others on the Champs Elysees in Paris.
The gunman was killed when officers returned fire.
Prosecutors say they won't release his name until they know whether or not he was working alone.
French officials said the suspect was previously flagged as an extremist.
Operational Honours For Service Personnel
Sailors and Royal Marines who've helped in the fight against so-called Islamic State militants and drug smugglers are among those named in the latest operational honours.
There are also awards for some of those rescuing people trying to reach Europe across the Mediterranean.
Among those rewarded with an OBE were Commander Mart Vartan, who was in charge of HMS Enterprise and recently returned to the UK after a three-year deployment.
She rescued more than 9,000 people trying to cross the Mediterranean, as well as rescuing 200 British citizens from Libya.
